Product Description General Price List Worldwide Shipping Rotor & Wheel Fitment Guide

Pricing

The price is per 2x carbon ceramic rotors (including aluminum hats) for either Front or Rear axles.

What Is Included

  • 2x Carbon Ceramic Rotors (1 pair)
  • 2x Aluminum Hats with mounting screws

Note

Brake pads are not included in the listed price because the correct pad compound depends on how the vehicle will be used. We offer low-noise street pads, mixed street and light track compounds, and more aggressive track-focused options such as Pagid. As pad pricing and performance characteristics vary by application, pads are quoted separately to ensure the most suitable setup for each customer. Unless a specific use case is requested, we will recommend our standard low-noise street pads by default. Please note that brake pads designed for iron rotors are not suitable for use with carbon ceramic rotors.

Application Notes

These carbon ceramic rotors are best suited for high-performance street use and occasional track driving. For frequent heavy track use, traditional iron rotors may still remain the more economical wear-item solution.

System Compatibility

Brake pad compound, caliper compatibility, rotor dimensions, and required hardware must be matched correctly for each application. For this reason, we specify each setup case by case to help ensure proper fitment and reliable operation.

Why Conversion Actually Works from Iron to CCB

On vehicles equipped with a suitable multi-piston brake system, converting from iron to carbon ceramic is a matter of correct rotor geometry and proper mounting design. A ready-to-install CCB rotor consists of two primary components: the aluminum hat and the carbon ceramic disc. When the original rotor diameter and thickness are maintained, the conversion is achieved by engineering a CNC-machined hat tailored to the factory hub and axle mounting points. This allows the new CCB rotor to replace the original iron rotor as a direct plug-and-play solution. The final braking character is then refined through application-specific pad compound selection to suit different driving styles and performance expectations.

The Real-World Benefits of CCB Conversion

Ultimately, a street-focused iron-to-CCB conversion is not about building a Le Mans endurance race car. It is about elevating your entire driving experience. By drastically reducing unsprung rotational mass, especially when paired with lightweight custom forged wheels, you unlock a completely new level of handling dynamics, suspension comfort, and steering response. Beyond the physics, it is also about pure aesthetics: the aggressive, premium look of massive, dust-free carbon ceramic discs perfectly showcased behind an open-spoke wheel. Because for true automotive enthusiasts, the pursuit of perfection never ends.

Why Our Price Is Unbeatable

By eliminating middleman markups, we offer latest-generation Carbon Ceramic Brake Discs at pricing often comparable to premium iron rotor solutions. Unlike alternatives made with short chopped fiber, our rotors utilize advanced long carbon fiber construction with a Silicon Carbide (SiC) friction surface layer.

Installation Notes

Professional installation is required. Depending on the vehicle, minor adjustments such as trimming or removal of the factory dust shields or adding wheel spacers for rim clearance may be needed.

Brake + Wheel Package Engineering

If you are investing in both forged wheels and a serious brake upgrade, you are already in the right place. Within Forza Performance Group, forged wheels and big brake solutions are not treated as unrelated parts sourced from different directions—they are developed within one ecosystem, allowing us to engineer the complete package as one matched solution. That gives you more than attractive bundle pricing: it gives you one source responsible for how the entire system fits, looks, and performs.

Each wheel is tailored around the upgraded brake system to achieve the exact caliper clearance, spoke curvature, X-factor, and inner barrel geometry required for your vehicle. Instead of leaving fitment to trial and error, we resolve the critical details before production, so the final package arrives with the proportions, presence, and technical integrity a serious build deserves. The result is no guesswork, no visual compromise, and no expensive surprises—just a brake-and-wheel package that installs cleanly, looks intentional, and performs exactly as a properly engineered build should, with OE TPMS and factory hardware compatibility available on request.

Exclusive street upgrade

Carbon Ceramic Brakes as a Statement Piece

A CCB conversion is not about turning every street car into a race car. It is about bringing a rare factory-level technology into a refined custom build: visible carbon ceramic discs, lower rotating mass, cleaner wheels, and the kind of mechanical detail enthusiasts notice immediately.

Why enthusiasts choose CCB

Carbon ceramic brakes are part performance hardware and part visual signature. They do not need to prove themselves as the most economical choice for every use case. Like a fine mechanical watch, the value is in the material, the engineering, the presence, and the feeling of owning something special.

Aesthetics

The wheel view changes everything

Large carbon ceramic discs sit behind open-spoke wheels like a serious factory option. The look is clean, rare, and immediately recognizable to people who know performance cars.

Technology

Real material upgrade

Long carbon fiber construction and a Silicon Carbide friction surface bring genuine CCB engineering into a street-focused build, not just a cosmetic brake package.

Exclusivity

Built for a more special car

The goal is a car that feels more complete: lighter at the corners, cleaner after a drive, and more distinctive every time you look at it.

CCM vs CCB

CCB is our standard supply. CCM remains available on request.

By default, our rotors are produced and shipped in 2nd generation carbon ceramic brake technology (CCB). Compared with older 1st generation carbon ceramic (CCM), CCB uses a silicon carbide surface coating that improves wear resistance, oxidation protection, and friction stability under repeated heat cycles.

If a customer specifically wants the older CCM technology, we can still ship CCM by request. Just mention it before quotation or production so we can confirm the correct build.

Technical article

Engineering the Ford Mustang (2005-2009 V) for Superior Performance with Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB)

Quick takeaways first. Full technical details are available below.

  • How Much Unsprung Mass Can Carbon Ceramic Brakes Reduce on the Mustang?
  • How Do Carbon Ceramic Rotors Manage Repeated High-Heat Stops?
  • What Service-Life Difference Is Typical Between CCB and Iron Rotors?
Open full technical breakdown

The 2005-2009 Ford Mustang, known internally as the V-chassis, revitalized the American muscle car segment with its retro-futuristic design and robust powertrain options. While the factory iron braking systems are well-suited for daily commuting, enthusiasts often seek to enhance the vehicle's thermal management during spirited driving or technical maneuvers. Transitioning to Carbon Ceramic Brake (CCB) technology represents a significant step in optimizing the Mustang's handling and heat dissipation capabilities. By moving away from traditional cast iron rotors to a specialized C/SiC matrix, drivers can explore a braking solution engineered for extreme thermal stability and reduced rotational inertia. This upgrade is particularly relevant for the V-chassis Mustang, where managing the kinetic energy of a performance sports car requires a material capable of maintaining a consistent friction coefficient under repeated high-load cycles, which typically exceed the limits of standard cast iron counterparts.

How Much Unsprung Mass Can Carbon Ceramic Brakes Reduce on the Mustang?

A primary engineering advantage of CCB rotors is the significant reduction in unsprung and rotational mass. For the Ford Mustang (2005-2009), replacing factory iron discs with carbon-ceramic alternatives typically yields a weight saving of up to 40-50% per corner. This reduction in dead weight that the suspension must manage directly influences the vehicle's dynamics. By lowering rotational inertia, CCB technology can contribute to a more responsive steering feel and improved acceleration characteristics. This weight reduction allows the V-chassis suspension to react more precisely to road irregularities, potentially enhancing the overall mechanical grip and agility of the vehicle during high-performance driving scenarios without compromising the structural integrity of the braking assembly.

How Do Carbon Ceramic Rotors Manage Repeated High-Heat Stops?

Thermal management is where CCB technology truly excels, especially for a performance sports car like the Ford Mustang. Traditional iron rotors are susceptible to heat-induced performance degradation and physical distortion when subjected to sustained high-load cycles. In contrast, carbon-ceramic rotors are engineered for extreme thermal stability, designed to operate effectively at temperatures exceeding 900°C. The silicon carbide matrix is specifically developed to maintain a high and consistent friction coefficient even as heat builds up. This characteristic can contribute to a more predictable pedal feel and consistent braking response during repeated deceleration events, significantly reducing the likelihood of pedal softening often associated with overheated iron components in heavy braking environments.

What Service-Life Difference Is Typical Between CCB and Iron Rotors?

While iron rotors are consumable items requiring frequent replacement depending on driving intensity, Carbon Ceramic Brakes are designed for exceptional longevity. Under normal street-driving conditions and with proper maintenance, CCB discs are engineered to last up to 300,000 km. This extended service life is a result of the extreme hardness and wear resistance of the C/SiC material. While actual results may vary depending on environmental factors, driving habits, and pad compound compatibility, the long-term durability of a ceramic system can significantly reduce the frequency of rotor replacements compared to standard iron units, positioning the upgrade as a long-term investment for the Mustang enthusiast focused on longevity and reduced maintenance.

How Can CCB Material Reduce Dust and Corrosion Effects?

Owners of the 2005-2009 Mustang often invest in high-quality alloy wheels, which can be difficult to maintain due to the corrosive nature of metallic brake dust. Carbon Ceramic Brake technology can significantly reduce the fine, black corrosive dust associated with high-performance iron brake pads. Furthermore, the material construction is highly resistant to oxidation and road salts. Unlike iron rotors, which can develop surface rust after washing or exposure to moisture, CCB rotors remain aesthetically clean and structurally sound. This resistance to environmental degradation ensures that the braking system maintains its premium appearance and functional integrity throughout its life cycle, keeping wheels cleaner and reducing the risk of surface corrosion.

What Construction Details Separate Premium C/SiC Brake Systems?

High-end CCB upgrades for the Ford Mustang (V) often utilize a 3D-woven matrix of Continuous Long Carbon Fiber (T700 Grade), rather than simpler chopped-fiber methods. This advanced structural architecture provides superior mechanical strength and thermal conductivity. The system typically employs a floating aluminum bell system, which is engineered to manage the different thermal expansion rates between the ceramic friction ring and the hub mounting. This dual-material design is a hallmark of motorsport engineering, specifically intended to reduce internal stresses within the rotor assembly during the intense heat cycles encountered in high-load performance applications, ensuring the disc remains stable and balanced even under extreme thermal stress.

Upgrading the 2005-2009 Ford Mustang (V) to Carbon Ceramic Brakes is a strategic choice for the driver who prioritizes technical excellence and thermal resilience. The transition from iron to C/SiC technology offers a suite of engineering characteristics—from significant mass reduction to consistent friction under heat—that can elevate the driving dynamics of this iconic American sports car. While the initial investment reflects the premium nature of the materials, the benefits in longevity and reduced maintenance offer a distinct value proposition for the long-term owner. Given the technical complexity of high-performance braking systems, it is highly recommended that enthusiasts seek a professional consultation with a qualified specialist to ensure proper fitment and system calibration for their specific Mustang configuration.

Thrilled with the purchase

First thoughts are,"would this even be legit!?!" Let me just say, I AM THRILLED WITH MY PURCHASE! Mr Amir was very kind, and was always answering my questions. Through the whole process of design and manufacturing Amir always took the time to keep me informed! The wheels came pretty quick and the quality is AMAZING!! Solid forged aluminum, boxed well for international shipping. Mounted and balanced on a hunter road force of an average 8lbs, the car runs smooth as glass! The design was a dream for years and in a solid forged format has sent me over the moon! I am beyond thrilled, absolute pure joy!!!! . I WILL BE MAKING ANOTHER PURCHASE AGAIN!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH AMIR. I highly recommend Forza for your custom wheel needs!!!

CCB Rotor & Wheel Fitment Guide

Minimum wheel diameter guidance by rotor size. Always validate final fitment using a physical template and measured clearances.

Rotor Size (Diameter x Thickness) Minimum Wheel Size Technical Fitment Notes
310mm × 22mm 16-inch Fits most 16-inch wheels. Installation on 15-inch wheels is possible only with specific low-profile callipers and is not generally recommended.
330mm × 28mm 17-inch Standard entry-level size for performance brake upgrades. Fits comfortably within most 17-inch alloy wheels.
345mm - 356mm × 32mm 18-inch Common mid-range size. Requires 18-inch wheels with standard barrel clearance.
380mm × 32/34mm 19-inch The industry standard for Carbon Ceramic (CCB) and heavy-duty steel systems. Fits most 19-inch wheels; verify spoke clearance for wider callipers.
390mm × 36mm 19-inch (Tight Fit) Fits 19-inch wheels with high-clearance barrels (flat inner bed). 20-inch wheels are recommended to ensure adequate air gap for cooling.
400mm - 405mm × 36/38mm 20-inch Requires 20-inch wheels. Ensure the wheel barrel does not taper significantly near the mounting face.
410mm - 420mm × 38/40mm 21-inch Standard fitment for 21-inch wheels. Can fit select 20-inch motorsport wheels with specialised flat barrel profiles (template verification required).
440mm × 40/42mm 21-inch (Minimum) Extreme fitment. 21-inch is the absolute minimum requirement. 22-inch wheels are strongly advised for safe operating clearance and heat dissipation.

Essential Clearance Requirements

To ensure safety and prevent damage to components, please observe the following industry-standard tolerances when measuring your wheels:

  • Radial Clearance (Barrel): A minimum gap of 3mm is required between the top of the calliper and the inner wheel barrel to account for heat expansion and wheel deflection under load.
  • Axial Clearance (Spokes): Ensure a minimum of 3mm clearance between the face of the calliper and the rear of the wheel spokes.
  • Balance Weights: Ensure wheel balancing weights are positioned so they do not foul the brake calliper. We recommend placing weights outboard of the calliper zone for tighter fitments.

Important Fitment Disclaimer

The wheel sizes listed above represent minimum technical requirements based on standard barrel profiles. Due to significant variation in alloy wheel designs, particularly spoke curvature (X-factor) and inner barrel contours, meeting nominal diameter alone does not guarantee compatibility.

We strongly recommend verifying clearance instrumentally using printable fitment templates rather than relying only on visual estimates or stated wheel specifications. Please ensure at least 3mm clearance in all directions to account for thermal expansion and dynamic wheel deflection.
